A couple of days ago, someone said “Happy New Year!” to me.

It was totally weird. Yes, it was the first time we’d seen each other in 2019, but still…. “It’s March, dude,” is what I was thinking.

In actuality, we’re nearing the second quarter of the year already; can you believe it?

And, unfortunately, by now 95% of us have already given up on going after all of those lofty goals and resolutions we set for ourselves leading into the New Year…even though we still want to achieve them.

You started out with the absolute best intentions. But you’re already noticing life getting in the way.

Maybe you promised yourself that this is the year you’d make all the right moves and meet all the right people that would make getting that long-awaited leadership position or salary increase inevitable.

Or that you would actively go after your next dream job (instead of staying stuck or just taking any ‘ole job that comes along).

Or, you’d actually start building a personal brand so that you KNOW what people are saying about you when you aren’t in the room.

Whatever it was, you started off strong…as we all do.

But you lacked a plan. A next step. An accountability process.

And now here you are a few weeks shy of 2Q…without much to show for it.

But you aren’t going to just let it lie or see what happens or go with the flow, are you?

No, you won’t. Cuz even though you’ve faltered a bit, the desire is still there for you. And so is the knowledge that you simply will not be satisfied by anything less than what you know you deserve.

…what you’ve worked so hard in your career to achieve.
